Meeting between the representatives of the ARTEMIS alliance’s partner universities
from November 16, 2021 to November 18, 2021
Between November 16 and November 18, 2021, the University of Clermont Auvergne welcomed the representatives of the partner universities involved in the European Alliance on Sustainable Mobility (ERASMob) project, now named ARTEMIS.
Meeting for the first time in person, the Presidents or Vice-Presidents of the seven universities reaffirmed their ambition to build a long-term European university network together. This meeting was an opportunity to get to know each other better and to consider other joint actions, such as the establishment of the Europavox European Campus. The various workshops organized on November 17 and 18 brought together nearly 40 people and allowed for further exchanges on the issues and objectives linked to the creation of this European university.
Coordinated by the UCA, which has made Europe one of the pillars of its international strategy, the ERASMob project is based on multidisciplinarity and includes four components: education, research, innovation and service to society. Through transnational university cooperation and in synergy with territorial ecosystems, the aim is to train European citizens who are aware of the multiple challenges linked to sustainable mobility and who are themselves actors of sustainable development.
The partner universities are:
- Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (Regensburg, Germany)
- Vives University of Applied Sciences (Bruges, Belgium)
- Panepistimio Ioanninon (Ioannina, Greece)
- Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool (Tallinn, Estonia)
- Høgskulen på Vestlandet (Bergen, Norway)
- Universitatea Ovidius din Constanta (Constanta, Romania)
The alliance is currently working on a proposal which will be submitted in response to the call for projects "European Universities" of the Erasmus+ program on March 22, 2022.
