Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)
In the framework of ARTEMIS European University and following our productive meetings in Metsovo and Constanța in 2023, three Blended Intensive Programs were successfully hosted by the University of Ioannina (UoI). These programs, open to ARTEMIS students, involved faculty and staff from the University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA), Ovidius University of Constanta (UOC), and the University of Ioannina (UoI).
This initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to engage in an interdisciplinary learning experience that combined in-person and online components. The online portion of the BIPs was accessible to students before, during, and after the physical mobility, ensuring continuous engagement and learning.

Mobilities: spaces, times, representations
Target audience: doctoral and master’s students
Participants explored how human mobility has shaped and been shaped by historical and archaeological contexts across different periods and regions. The program offered a blend of theoretical insights and practical experiences, encouraging students to examine the intersections of space, time, and cultural representation through an interdisciplinary lens.
In addition to these academic activities, workshops were combined with sightseeing in the wider Ioannina area, where students took on the responsibility of leading guided tours of the sites visited.

The BIPs not only fostered academic growth but also promoted cultural exchange among students and staff from different European regions. Designed as a long-term initiative, our Blended Intensive Programmes are intended to become a regular, annual event, with the hosting duties rotating bewteen ARTEMIS members universities. Moving forward, ARTEMIS is dedicated to expanding these opportunities, ensuring that the BIPs continue to foster academic growth and cultural exchange among our partner institutions.
