1. Copyright notice
ARTEMIS — Alliance for Regional Transition, Equality, Mobility, Inclusion and Sustainability (“ARTEMIS”, “the Alliance”, “we”, “us”) is an alliance of eight European higher-education institutions, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ “European Universities” initiative and coordinated by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). This document applies to the Alliance website eu-artemis.eu (“the Website”).

Unless indicated otherwise, the content of the Website is the property of the Alliance, its partner universities or their licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
2. Ownership of content
The Website content — including texts, graphics, photographs, illustrations, videos, page layout, structure and software — is protected. Rights may be held by the coordinating institution, by the partner universities, or by third parties who have licensed their content to the Alliance.
3. European Union co-funding and open licensing
ARTEMIS is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme. In line with the programme’s open-access principles, educational and project resources produced by the Alliance are, where possible, released under an open licence such as the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), unless a different licence is stated on the resource itself.
Where the CC BY 4.0 licence applies, you are free to share and adapt the material, including for commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit, indicate any changes, and do not suggest endorsement by the Alliance or the European Union.
4. Permitted use
Subject to the applicable licence stated for a given item, you may:
- consult and download content for personal, educational or non-commercial information purposes;
- quote short extracts, provided the source is clearly attributed to the ARTEMIS alliance and a link to the Website is given.
Unless an open licence expressly permits it, you may not:
- reproduce, distribute or communicate substantial parts of the content for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation;
- modify content in a way that misrepresents its meaning or the position of the Alliance;
- remove or alter any copyright, attribution or proprietary notices.
5. Trademarks, names and logos
The ARTEMIS name and logo, the names and logos of the partner universities, and the emblem of the European Union are protected and may not be used without the prior written consent of the relevant rights holder. The European Union emblem may only be used in accordance with the applicable EU rules on its use.
6. Third-party content and image credits
Some images and materials on the Website are used under licence from third parties (for example stock-image libraries or partner universities) and remain the property of their respective owners. Such content may be subject to specific terms and may not be reused separately from the Website without the owner’s permission.
7. Reporting an infringement (notice and takedown)
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content on the Website infringes your rights, please contact us at artemis.drif@uca.fr with a description of the content, its location (URL) and the basis of your claim. We will examine the request and, where appropriate, remove or correct the content promptly.
