1. Acceptance of these conditions

ARTEMIS — Alliance for Regional Transition, Equality, Mobility, Inclusion and Sustainability (“ARTEMIS”, “the Alliance”, “we”, “us”) is an alliance of eight European higher-education institutions, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ “European Universities” initiative and coordinated by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). This document applies to the Alliance website eu-artemis.eu (“the Website”).

By accessing and using the Website, you agree to these Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Website. These conditions should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Copyright notice.

2. Purpose of the Website

The Website provides information about the ARTEMIS alliance, its partner universities, and its activities in education, research, mobility and regional engagement. The content is provided for general information purposes only.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Website lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you must not:

• use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law or these conditions;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or connected systems;
• introduce malware, or otherwise interfere with the proper functioning or security of the Website;
• collect or harvest data from the Website by automated means without our prior written consent;
• use the Website to transmit unlawful, defamatory, offensive or infringing content.

4. Intellectual property

The content of the Website (texts, graphics, logos, images, layout and software) is protected by intellectual-property rights and is owned by the Alliance, its partner universities or their licensors. Your use of such content is governed by our separate Copyright notice. The ARTEMIS name and logo, and the names and logos of the partner universities, are protected and may not be used without prior authorisation.

5. Content you submit

If you submit content through the Website (for example via a contact or registration form), you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that the content does not infringe the rights of others or any applicable law. We may remove content that breaches these conditions.

6. Links to third-party websites

The Website may contain links to third-party websites provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites. Following external links is at your own risk.

7. Availability and disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Website available and its content accurate and up to date, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we may suspend, withdraw or modify all or part of the Website at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Alliance and its partner universities shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Website, or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these conditions excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. EU funding

The Website and its content are produced in the context of a project co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme. The information on the Website reflects the views only of the Alliance; the European Union and the granting authority cannot be held responsible for any use that may be made of it.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Conditions of Use are governed by French law, the law of the country in which the coordinating institution, Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts, subject to applicable mandatory rules.
