1. Introduction
ARTEMIS — Alliance for Regional Transition, Equality, Mobility, Inclusion and Sustainability (“ARTEMIS”, “the Alliance”, “we”, “us”) is an alliance of eight European higher-education institutions, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ “European Universities” initiative and coordinated by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). This document applies to the Alliance website eu-artemis.eu (“the Website”).
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies the Website uses, for what purposes, and how you can manage your preferences. It complements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the site is used. We also use “similar technologies” such as local storage and pixels; references to “cookies” in this policy cover those technologies too.
3. Why do we use cookies?
- To ensure the Website functions correctly and securely (essential cookies).
- To remember your choices and preferences, such as language or your cookie consent.
- To produce aggregated, anonymised statistics about how the Website is used, so we can improve it.
- Where applicable, to support content shared from third-party platforms (e.g. embedded videos or social media).

6. Your consent
When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner allows you to accept or refuse non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because they are required for the site to work. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie-preferences panel. Non-essential cookies are placed only after you have given consent.
7. How to manage or disable cookies
- Use the cookie-preferences panel on the Website to adjust your choices at any time.
- Configure your browser to block or delete cookies (see your browser’s help pages — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functioning of the Website.
8. Third-party cookies
Some pages may include content from third parties (for example embedded videos, social media feeds or maps). These providers may set their own cookies, over which we have no direct control. We recommend consulting the privacy and cookie policies of the providers concerned.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to legal requirements. The version in force is the one published on eu-artemis.eu. For any question, contact us at artemis.drif@uca.fr or our Data Protection Officer at dpo@uca.fr.
