Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this website accessible to everyone

Website: eu-artemis.eu     •     Last updated: 15 June 2026

1. Our commitment

ARTEMIS — Alliance for Regional Transition, Equality, Mobility, Inclusion and Sustainability (“ARTEMIS”, “the Alliance”, “we”, “us”) is an alliance of eight European higher-education institutions, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ “European Universities” initiative and coordinated by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). This document applies to the Alliance website eu-artemis.eu (“the Website”).

Accessibility and inclusion are core values of the ARTEMIS alliance. We are committed to making the Website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities, in line with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

2. Conformance status

The Website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. At the date of this statement, the Website is considered partially compliant: most content meets the target level, while some elements may not yet fully conform, as described in section 4.

3. Measures taken to support accessibility

  • Use of semantic, structured HTML with clear heading hierarchy.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and non-text content.
  • Sufficient colour contrast and resizable text.
  • Keyboard navigation for interactive elements.
  • Responsive design adapting to different screen sizes and devices.
  • Descriptive link text and consistent, predictable navigation.
  • Consideration of accessibility when selecting and configuring the content-management system.

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include:

  • Some PDF or office documents published before this statement may not be fully tagged for accessibility.
  • Certain third-party embedded content (e.g. videos, maps, social media feeds) may not meet the target level.
  • Some older images may lack a complete text alternative.

We are working to remedy these limitations. Where content cannot reasonably be made accessible, we will provide an accessible alternative on request.

5. Feedback and contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Website. If you encounter a barrier or need content in an alternative, accessible format, please contact us at artemis.drif@uca.fr, describing the problem, the page concerned (URL) and the format you require. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility request or complaint, you may refer the matter to the competent national authority responsible for monitoring compliance with the web-accessibility requirements in the relevant Member State. As the Website is operated by the coordinating institution in France, the French enforcement framework applies.

7. Preparation of this statement

This accessibility statement was prepared on 15 June 2026. It is based on a self-assessment of the Website (eu-artemis.eu) and will be reviewed and updated periodically, in particular following accessibility audits or significant changes to the Website.
