Research at ARTEMIS

ARTEMIS European University brings together eight regions across Europe to create a vibrant, collaborative research community. Our mission is to connect knowledge, talent, and ideas across borders, supporting research that drives innovation, strengthens regions, and addresses the major challenges of our time. Across our network, researchers work together on shared priorities, blending local expertise with European vision.

ARTEMIS Research Centres

Research in ARTEMIS is organised around three thematic pillars, each supported by a dedicated Research Centre:

These Centres act as interdisciplinary hubs where researchers collaborate on common challenges, design joint projects, and build new links between science, society, and regional development. They bring together teams, facilities, and perspectives from all partner universities, creating a shared space for innovation and discovery.

Within the Centres, researchers join thematic communities that support exchange, mentoring, idea development and early-stage project work. These versatile groups connect people working on similar topics across different countries, encouraging fresh perspectives and strengthening Europe-wide collaboration.

Whether exploring sustainable mobility, studying environmental health, or examining the dynamics of inclusive societies, these communities help researchers cooperate more easily and build meaningful partnerships.

ARTEMIS hosts a range of events that support research engagement, creativity, and mobility. Recent activities include:

The Young Researchers’ Non-Conference on “Resilience in Science,” brought together young scientists for peer-led discussions and skill-building.
The Pinnacle Summit, focused on resilience and regional development, with contributions from researchers, policymakers, and local stakeholders.
Workshops and exchanges for doctoral and postgraduate researchers, promoting interdisciplinary thinking and cross-university collaboration.
