One year of shared vision, strengthened partnerships, and a growing European university alliance shaping the future together.
ARTEMIS European University was launched in December 2024 with a shared ambition: to create a dynamic and inclusive European University that leverages the power of mobility to foster innovation, research, cultural exchange, and economic growth across regions.
One year on, that ambition was both celebrated and put into practice as the ARTEMIS community gathered in Clermont-Ferrand for the ARTEMIS Together Week from 3-5 December, bringing together partners, teams, and stakeholders from across the alliance to reflect on progress and shape the path ahead.
Throughout the week, boards, students, staff, and external stakeholders from all eight partner universities came together to exchange ideas, align priorities, and shape the next phase of the alliance.
A key milestone of the week was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. With this formal agreement, the eight full ARTEMIS partners were officially united with two associated Ukrainian universities: Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The signature marked a strong commitment to solidarity, academic cooperation, and shared European values, even in challenging times.
Another highlight was the celebration of the first ARTEMIS Diversity Day. The event reaffirmed the alliance’s dedication to inclusion, openness, and respect for diversity, emphasizing that collaboration across borders, cultures, and disciplines is at the heart of ARTEMIS.
As ARTEMIS enters its second year in 2026, the Together Week served as both a celebration of what has been achieved and a clear signal of what lies ahead: a growing European university alliance committed to creating impact for students, staff, regions, and society at large.
ARTEMIS is a European university alliance that sparks innovation across Europe by leveraging mobility, collaboration, and regional strengths.
