The cartography of local initatives (KIC)

While access to European networks enables scaling, strong regional ecosystems remain essential for the development and validation of early-stage startups as well. Within this context, the ARTEMIS alliance focuses on mobilizing local stakeholders that directly support startup creation and implementation. This deliverable (D5.3 Cartography of Local Initiatives (KIC)) presents interactive maps that capture key public- and private-sector actors across ARTEMIS partner regions. These include technology parks, research centers, business clusters, and local companies that provide infrastructure, expertise, and collaboration opportunities for emerging startups and their founders. Developed at the country level, these cartographies offer insights into regional innovation environments and present the networks that underpin ARTEMIS activities. They enable students, researchers, and existing startups to identify relevant local partners, engage with their immediate ecosystem, and build the foundations for sustainable business development. By linking these regional ecosystems with ARTEMIS incubation and knowledge transfer activities, this deliverable ensures that innovation processes are both locally embedded and strategically aligned with broader European objectives, playing a critical role in translating regional strengths into internationally relevant solutions.
