ARTEMIS at European University Alliances Coordinators Retreat in Brussels

ARTEMIS General Secretariat participated to the European University alliances coordinators working retreat organized on 14th April 2026 in Brussels.

Marie-Elisabeth Baudoin, General coordinator of ARTEMIS alliance, Vice-Rector for International and European strategy, and Marie Le Duc, project manager of ARTEMIS alliance, attended the meeting to represent ARTEMIS during this high-level meeting gathering coordinators of European University alliances.

This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to address a wide range of strategic topics related to the future of European University Alliances. Discussions focused in particular on the upcoming funding frameworks, the international dimension of the alliances, reporting and review processes, performance monitoring mechanisms, as well as the role of alliances in strengthening EU competitiveness and contributing to the completion of the European Research Area.

Through a combination of thematic workshops and plenary sessions, ARTEMIS General Secretariat was able to exchange good practices, learn from peer experiences, and collectively reflect on the key role alliances play in shaping their own long‑term development and strategic positioning within the European landscape.

ARTEMIS is fully engaged in these policy discussions and actively contributes to the reflections that will inform the next European frameworks, reaffirming its commitment to long‑term institutional transformation and systemic change.

Together, European University Alliances continue to collectively shape their future, writing a shared story built on cooperation, ambition and a common European vision.
