ARTEMIS International Week on Digitalization

Ovidius University of Constanta successfully concluded the ARTEMIS International Week on Digitalization, a landmark five-day event held September 22-26, 2025, in Constanta, Romania. The event brought together international experts, researchers, and digital transformation specialists from across the ARTEMIS Consortium to advance collaborative work on the ARTEMIS platform development and digital innovation strategies.

Organized as part of the ARTEMIS Consortium’s Work Package 2 (WP2) activities, the International Week on Digitalization achieved its primary objective of developing comprehensive digital solutions through intensive collaborative workshops. Participants focused on technical requirements analysis, platform specification development, and strategic planning for the ARTEMIS digital platform. The week-long intensive workshop program delivered significant outcomes across multiple domains:

• Technical Platform Development: Specialized sessions dedicated to each work package (WP2-WP7) successfully analyzed specific technical requirements for the ARTEMIS platform. Domain experts collaborated to identify needs, specifications, and implementation strategies, establishing a solid foundation for future development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comprehensive workshops addressed critical aspects of platform development, including hybrid format collaboration methodologies, technical requirements analysis and validation, platform design specifications and architecture, action plan development for implementation phases, and integration strategies across different work packages.
• Strategic Planning: Dedicated sessions concentrated on analyzing technical requirements for the ARTEMIS platform and designing comprehensive action plans for future development phases, ensuring coordinated progress across consortium partners.

The event outcomes directly impact the development of the ARTEMIS digital platform, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of consortium partners while maintaining technical excellence and user-focused design principles.

Building international partnerships

Beyond technical achievements, the week of collaboration strengthened international partnerships within the ARTEMIS Consortium. The intensive, hybrid workshop format facilitated deep exploration of technical challenges, maximizing engagement across consortium partners, essential for successful long-term collaboration. Events were hosted at Hotel Delmar Constanta’s London Conference Room and Ovidius University of Constanta’s Campus A. Cultural activities throughout the week allowed participants to experience Constanta’s rich history and coastal beauty, providing valuable informal networking opportunities that complemented the formal workshop sessions.

The successful completion of the International Week on Digitalization marks a significant milestone in the ARTEMIS Consortium’s journey toward developing innovative digital solutions. The technical specifications, validated requirements, and implementation roadmaps created during the event will guide the consortium’s work in the coming months.
